Tenuta del Podestà is a luxury country villa perfect for spending your holiday immersed in the countryside while still being just a stone’s throw from the centre of Florence, which is accessible on foot, by bus or by car.
The villa is composed of two originally designed double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom. Two extra single beds are available upon request, which can be placed in either the bedrooms or the living room.
The Biba Bedroom: this well-lit double bedroom with en suite bathroom and garden view is located on the ground floor. Decorated in tones of grey and beige where attentive restoration has fixed the original colours to the wooden beams and the ceiling. The pavement, in handmade terracotta tiles from Impruneta, was especially commissioned using a mix of clay and grey pigments giving the room a sense of originality and elegance, in complete harmony with the tasteful refined furniture. In the en suite bathroom, the shower has been formed in cement resin, while the radiator, taps and fittings are in brass.
The washbasin area has been furnished with great care combining a teak cabinet with a washbasin, which has been created from a restored handmade garden planter pots. The bathroom lighting is a mix of modern down lights with a vintage lamp, giving the atmosphere particular charm.
The Bibella bedroom: this double bedroom with en suite bathroom is located on the first floor, and offers a view of the Monastry The Certosa of Florence and the garden. Tasteful interiors include visible ceiling beams in white and a grey cement resin pavement. The custom designed bed has been handmade using aged oak, while the wardrobes, also made to measure, are coloured black. The result is a room that is elegant and refined.
The en suite bathroom is a true masterpiece of luxury and charm, with a large glass window offering a prevailing view of the garden. The pavement, the shower and the large cabinet-tops are formed in grey cement resin to match the washbasins, which have been handmade from two planter pots. The radiators, taps and fittings are in brass.
